Early Childhood Care
Ages 3 to 5 years
Chiropractic care is not a substitute for routine pediatric medical care. Developmental concerns, persistent pain, significant injuries, and other medical conditions should be evaluated by your child's pediatrician.
What It Is
Early childhood chiropractic care focuses on the developing spine, muscles, and joints as children become more active and independent. Using gentle, age-appropriate techniques, our goal is to address musculoskeletal discomfort, encourage comfortable movement, and support healthy posture and physical activity.
When It’s Needed
Between ages 3 and 5, children experience significant physical development as they begin running, jumping, climbing, and participating in organized activities. These new movements, along with everyday falls and physical play, can sometimes contribute to muscle tension, joint discomfort, or restricted mobility.
Your child may benefit from a chiropractic evaluation if they experience:
- Neck, back, or joint stiffness and discomfort
- Muscle tension or restricted movement
- Posture concerns or noticeable movement asymmetries
- Discomfort following minor falls or playground activities
- Recurring muscle or joint discomfort during physical activity
- Difficulty moving comfortably during everyday activities
What Can It Help With
Chiropractic care may help address joint mobility restrictions, muscle tension, and certain musculoskeletal discomforts. By identifying areas of restricted movement or discomfort, our chiropractors work to improve mobility, support comfortable posture, and help children stay active during these important developmental years.
Our focus is on helping children move comfortably and participate in the activities they enjoy.
What to Expect
Our chiropractors use gentle, age-appropriate techniques tailored to your child’s size, development, and individual needs. Treatment may involve light manual techniques, gentle joint mobilization, or other appropriate methods based on examination findings.
We take time to evaluate each child, explain our recommendations to parents, and create a comfortable, positive experience. Care is individualized, with treatment recommended only when clinically appropriate.
