What It Is

Teen and adolescent chiropractic care focuses on the spine, muscles, and joints during a period of rapid growth and physical development. At this age, teenagers can often receive many of the same chiropractic treatments as adults, with techniques and treatment plans tailored to their size, maturity, and individual needs. Our goal is to improve mobility, reduce musculoskeletal discomfort, and support an active, healthy lifestyle.

When It’s Needed

Between ages 13 and 17, teenagers experience growth spurts, increasing physical demands, and changes in posture and activity levels. Sports, strength training, prolonged sitting, electronic device use, and everyday activities can contribute to muscle tension, joint restrictions, and musculoskeletal discomfort.

Your teen may benefit from a chiropractic evaluation if they experience:

What Can It Help With

Chiropractic care may help reduce musculoskeletal pain, improve joint mobility, relieve muscle tension, and address certain posture-related concerns. Treatment may also be incorporated into a broader approach to managing sports-related musculoskeletal injuries and improving comfort during physical activity.

Our focus is on helping teenagers move comfortably, remain active, and manage the physical demands of school, sports, and everyday life.

What to Expect

Teenagers can often receive chiropractic care similar to adults, including traditional manual adjustments, joint mobilization, soft tissue therapies, and therapeutic exercises when clinically appropriate. Treatment techniques and intensity are selected based on the patient’s age, physical development, examination findings, and individual needs.

Our chiropractors evaluate posture, joint mobility, muscle function, and areas of discomfort before recommending an individualized treatment plan. We explain our findings and treatment options to both teens and their parents, emphasizing comfort, safety, and informed decision-making.
